I envy the gorgeous scenery in your back yard Jack! Amazing. I do not quite envy the snow, I am a man for the tropics 🙂
Nah, I’ll take excessive cold over excessive heat any day! 🙂
Hello Jack.
Nice to see the first snow in such beautiful fall environment.
I saw the same thing happening (on webcam) in NE Rondane National Park in late September and I`ve never packed my gear so fast before and drove the 5 hr. trip into the mountains.
Perfect, glowing fall colors in a pure white landscape met my eyes.
A popular Norwegian photographer/writer told me that he had witnessed the same only once…15 years ago.
During my mountain trip, I had enough of time wondering how our surrounding nature and seasons(as we know it) will look like in 100 years from now.
Thanks for sharing this, Jack!
I look forward to see your winter photography.
Take care.
Best Wishes

Thanks for the comment Seung Kye! Yes, I don’t think it gets more beautiful than fresh snow on yellow autumn leaves. I would love to visit Norway in the fall sometime! ~Jack
Too funny, Jack. What scenery! How much did you guys get?
I’d say about 6-8″ in town. Full on winter conditions… I got my truck stuck in the snow at the post office… haaha..
Pretty cool to look at these together!
Beautiful pic, Jack!!
Yup, that’s Ouray, changes overnight. Nice photos, and reminds me why I love W. Colorado (my home) but stay in Moab for the winters, or sometimes even St. George, when Moab’s bad. Snow is beautiful but for some reason, it’s cold! Stuck at the post office – LOL – Ouray’s streets are mirror images of the mtns around there, steep and tippy. I’ve had some harrowing escapades on Ouray streets. But I love seeing the deer in town.
Another beauty Jack. Wish I was in your shoes and lived in paradise!
