It’s been a slow start to the season this year around here, especially with the infamous Crested Butte “doughnut hole” in full effect, but we’ve finally got a bigger storm heading through this week. All I want for Christmas is a couple more feet of snow!

I hopped out of the truck during a road construction stop yesterday to snap this shot during our drive back to Crested Butte after two weeks in the deserts of southern Utah. It was a cold but wonderful road trip, and I will be posting lots of photos in the coming days!
I had great fun yesterday with my buddy Dave Showalter tromping around in the forest searching for the craziest aspen colors we could find. We certainly found plenty!
