Walk Then Ride

Hiking a snowy mountain ridge

Sorry, can’t think of a clever title for this post. Jason hikes along an interesting ridgeline this morning. Notice the handmade board he recently built for himself over at the Igneous factory.

Snowboarding into a steep couloir

Jason King carves into a big cliffy chute.

What kind of board(s) do you ride?

  • Jack Brauer says:

    Sean,

I ride Venture boards, built in Silverton, CO. I’ve got a Euphoria, Storm, and Divide splitboard, all in the 161-162cm range.

Glad to hear about Igneous and Venture. Burton announced today they’re outsourcing their boards from Vermont to Austria. Hopefully, everyone will quit buying them and stay local.

Have to add another comment – your post proves my contention that mountaineers have a different definition of the word “interesting” than the rest of us do.

Interesting = anything from scary to terrifying.

    :)
