Lots of Ladybugs

Lots of ladybugs on top of Bear Peak above Boulder, and lots of fun this weekend seeing my favorite Kiwi band the Black Seeds at the Fox in Boulder and the Gothic in Denver (so good we went for both shows).

    Nice picture Jack.

Are those ladybugs naturally there in those quantities? What time of year are they there for? Any ideas why they would be there?

  • Jack Brauer says:

Jeremy – Yes there’s thousands of them up there, mostly concentrated in big cracks between the boulders. I really don’t know what they’re doing up there… maybe because it’s the last point they can cling to before being blown out into the eastern plains. I’ve seen them there before in the past, but I forget what time of year that was.
