Kind of anti-climatic to celebrate Obama’s victory here in New Zealand on Arthurs Pass, a small little roadside town in the mountains.  Not much going on here, though I was lucky to meet two other Americans here at the hostel to celebrate with.  I do wish I was back home last night to party in the streets.

Anyways, yeah I’m here on Arthurs Pass where it has been snowing for the last two days.  It was very cool to hike through the almost-rain-forest with snow on the trees.  I’m going to try to get out and stay at some huts in the mountains for the next couple nights.
