Hitting the Spot

Skinning the San Juans

A powder day, at last! 10-12″ inches… not the hugest dump ever, but after a snowless month it hit the spot. Hopefully there’s more to come in the next few days.

Nice pictures, looks like some fun snow for this late in the season

  • justin says:

Oh, and question. Do you typically us a CPL when out shooting in the snow or no?

  • Justin Peterson says:

    Jack,

SWEET shots…looks like more than a foot fell down there. I think we’ll finally get a decent storm here in Colorado Springs, but I won’t believe it until I see it. So, how are you liking the 7-14? I’ve heard nothing but great things about that lens. Again, awesome shots.

  • Jack Brauer says:

Justin – No I usually don’t use a polarizer in the snow. Not much reason to in that situation.

Justin P – I actually haven’t used the 7-14 that much at all yet (just the canyon shot in the previous post). Seems like a keeper though. I love the 12-60mm lens so much, but sometimes you’ve got to go wider.
