You’ve outdone yourself! These are amazing, and your cover shot of Capitol blew me away.
What an amazing timeless view. I do not usually like the sun in the frame all that much but you made it work here. I love the sunlight on the side of the majestic mountain.
Unbelievable! Well done, Jack. If there were prizes, you’d be so far out in front nobody could catch you on this one. Just beautiful.
Thanks Chris and Flemming and Chinle!!!
Man, that’s one of your most entertaining series in awhile! This lead-in shot is off the charts with the difficulty that it takes to get to that location – in that light! I love the mood in the spire image and Capitol Lake – Hell, they’re all amazing. Great work!
Thanks Dave! Yeah it was a bit of a challenge, this hike. There were a few dicey exposed moves near the summit… especially so on the way back down with the snow.
I’ll never forget my hike up Capitol…what a majestic area this is! ALL these shots bring back such amazing memories. This whole series is excellent, Jack. I love that you had multiple days to work with to get all the great vantage points and some spectacular light. Well done!
Thanks Justin! Yeah, it was like a “study” of one peak for 4 days.
Yet another wonderful set of pix – just delicious. I can see those upcoming turns in the freshies just over the horizon….
Ha! Yeah I thought about that when I was up there… how sweet it would be to have been able to ride down in 2 minutes as opposed to 2 hours of careful hiking through the rocks and snow!
A superb set of images Jack! Excellent collection. Thanks for sharing & safe travels.
Stupid gorgeous…I’m so blown away…
