Everest Pano

Here’s some links to some mountainous Quicktime 360VR panoramas. Leave a comment if you know of any others!

Mount Everest summit
Mt. Fuji, Japan, viewed from Kita-Dake
Sunrise on the summit of the Matterhorn
Summit of Dufourspitze, Switzerland
Davos, Switzerland
Mount St. Helens, Washington
Machu Picchu, Peru

Also, check out my own collection of “homemade” summit panoramas.

Oh, and here’s a good collection of normal mountain panoramas: Alpen-Panoramen.de.

    Jack,

I’ve been reading (and enjoying) some of your blogs. I checked out 360 degree VR Mountain Panoramas. I was expecting something slightly different. I have a panoramic view of Paris at night, which someone sent me. It is different in that you can move back and forth, left to right, right to left at will in the photo. Do you know how this type of panoramic photo is done?

Of course, if you are interested, I could the e-mail to you.

    Richard
